Most RJ45 crimping tools on the market are like the following type.
But I found a more helpful one. This RJ45 crimping tool can crimp the RJ45 connector and press the dove tail at the same time. Does anyone know this type of RJ45 crimping and is it easy to use?
I have a similar tool, and the overall crimping is not any easier than the more common tools on the market. In comparison, since this crimping tool does dovetail crimping at the same time as crimping the connector, resulting in the need to adjust the dovetail portion of the crimp before crimping the connector, which can easily result in the core wires sliding around inside the connector, leading to problems with the wire sequence or the core wires slipping out of the connector, which may make the installation more difficult and result in a failed installation.
