As a novice, I often struggle with connecting cables to keystone jacks and frequently make mistakes. Consequently, I often need to remove and reinstall the crimped cable. I’m concerned whether repeatedly removing the core wires will impact the keystone jack’s performance.
If you are using the punch keystone jack, reuse is not recommended. Using too much force with the punching tool may damage the keystone jack. Also, when removing the wires, you may remove them violently, which can also damage the wiring module. Both of them will affect the network performance.
In the case of toolless keystone jacks, they can be reused. However, be careful not to be too rough when removing the wire
Under normal usage conditions, repeatedly crimping the core wire will not affect performance. Please make sure that when crimping the core wire repeatedly, you do not cause excessive damage to the original IDC card knife or other parts of the module. Additionally, please ensure that your core wire has sufficient contact with the IDC card knife to minimize transmission loss.
Do not worry too much. In the case of no problem with product quality, it can be reinstalled repeatedly. Please follow the operation process and use suitable punch down tools when operating.
I don’t think that is a big problem. Some keystone jacks are not as fragile as we thought.
