I'm Wiring My Home Network, Should I Use Patch Cables or DIY Cable and Connectors? Is There a Difference in Performance?

I’m planning to wire my home network, and I’ve come across two different methods for connecting the cables: using patch cables and DIY cable and connectors. Can you please advise me on which one is a better choice, and if there’s any difference in performance between them? Your insights would be greatly appreciated.

If your DIY cable is installed correctly and the cable and plug you choose are of the same standard as the patch cable, for example, CAT6A, the cable and plug and patch cable you choose are manufactured in regular factories. You will have similar performance whether you choose a DIY cable or a patch cable. However, if you are not very strong in manual operation, it is recommended that you choose the patch cable installation problems for the performance of less impact. But if you are more confident in your manual ability, you can use a DIY network cable. You can make DIY network cables according to the length you need. Generally, the cost of DIY network cable will be lower than the patch cable.

Thank you, after comparing, I’ve decided to go with the DIY option. I believe that practice is the best way to learn, and I want to try my hand at it myself. This is a great opportunity.
