I want to buy an HDMI cable to connect from my TV in the living room to my projector in the bedroom, anyone bought the officially licensed hdmi cable? Because there are a lot of different brands of hdmi cables on the market, is officially licensed necessarily better quality?
My personal opinion is that while officially licensed cables may offer some quality assurance, that doesn’t necessarily mean they are the only viable option. I think the most important factor to consider is the version of HDMI you need. Each HDMI version supports different features and resolutions. For most common home theater setups and everyday use, a 4K HDMI cable will suffice.
Additionally, when purchasing an HDMI cable, it’s a good idea to read reviews, consider the length required, and make sure it supports the version of HDMI you need.
Officially authorized HDMI cables are not necessarily better because the official will authorize companies to produce but will not test each HDMI cable produced by the authorized company. Quality control is still very much dependent on the production of HDMI cables in the company. Under normal circumstances, the production capacity of the company has been officially authorized, and quality control and other aspects will be better, so if you need a high-quality HDMI cable, you can choose to get the official authorization of the HDMI cable, to a certain extent, can reduce the probability of problems.
The officially licensed HDMI cables can be a great choice, but that doesn’t mean they are the best. In fact, any HDMI cables from well-known brands can work well. But you should ensure that they are compatible with your devices. Moreover, there are other factors that you should consider like connector type, resolutions of your video source and display, distance between two devices, etc.
