The signal is lost

Is there a tool that can detect which part of the network cable is having a problem? I have a network cable at home that’s almost 160ft, connecting various rooms to my garage. Yesterday, I noticed that the network was interrupted, but I’m not sure which part of the cable is causing the issue. I’d prefer not to replace the entire cable if possible

There is a tester on the market that can be tested through the RJ45 plug to determine whether the RJ45 plug installation problems. If you test the RJ45 plug and have no problem, then the probability is that a section of the cable has issues. If the cable is broken outside, you can directly see that you can use the RJ45 coupler for the broken part of the repair. However, if the break is not on the outside but on the inside of the cable, it is impossible to determine the exact location, and you will need to replace the entire cable. I found a tester with a similar function on Amazon. You can refer to it.

For the RJ45 Coupler you can refer to this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C4F5TV9N?ref=myi_title_dp
