I’m curious about the differences between rigid wires and flexible wires when it comes to network cables. Are regular RJ45 connectors compatible with both of these wire types?
Electrical cables can be divided into rigid, semi-rigid, and flexible types. Flexible wires are commonly easier to bend than rigid cables. For Ethernet cables, solid wires are usually more rigid than stranded wires.
Not all RJ45 connectors on the market can support solid and stranded or flexible and rigid wires. So, you’d better ask the manufacturer before buying the cable.
